Sharon Anne Light

Sharon is a descendant of a settler family that arrived in Fiji in 1869 to grow cotton in Ra.
Born in Suva, 1948. Sharon has spent the last 15 years painting apparel, only since mid 2003 has she concentrated on paintings.
Keen on fishing and diving, currently holding the World Record (women) for great barracuda.
Apart from art lessons at high school she has had no formal training.

Previous occupations include, Office Manager, Air Hostess, Enamelled copper art, Dior Rep. (Fiji), Commercial fishing, hand painted apparel.
The ANZ/Fiji Arts Club exhibition in July 2003 is her first ever entry.

• She won 1st. overall, Fiji Red Cross Fashion Awards, 1998.
• 2nd. Fiji Arts Club Annual Art Exhibition, 2003.
• 1st Fiji Arts Council comp - Indigenous category

Educated, Suva Grammar, Family, Husband and three sons.
